Simple Ways of Preventing Wrinkles

When wrinkles start to appear in greater and greater number the more we age, we begin to wonder if there is a way of preventing wrinkles to form even more and whether we can do something about the current condition of our skin to make it look smoother and younger.

There are many ways to accomplish this, and by following proven methods you have the best chances to reach desired goal. Most people would want to follow a simple method, such as using an anti-wrinkle cream, while they would not need to do anything from their part. While you can generally attain some results that way, they will be far from what you truly want to achieve.

Preventing wrinkles at a younger age is one of the best methods to follow, in order to avoid dealing with excessive wrinkling later on. Instead of waiting for the wrinkles to form and using an anti-wrinkle cream to reduce them, try to live a healthier life and prevent creation of them altogether.

Try to keep up with a good diet and a proper hydration. Consume a lot of vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, seeds, and nuts and avoid meat and eggs as much as possible. Also, drink at least 65 ounces of water each day. Try to maintain a good physical fitness as well, which will help at preventing wrinkles even more.

Additionally, use natural cold-pressed oils such as olive oil or coconut oil not only in your diet but also as a lotion for your skin. You can mix them with cocoa butter to get an amazing natural remedy for the skin.

You may also want to make your very own face masks and use them once a week or once every two weeks. Following are some of the best homemade face masks that do a great job at preventing wrinkles:

Orange Mask

You need one orange and two tablespoons of olive oil. Squeeze the fresh juice out of an orange and mix it with olive oil. Apply the mixture on your face and lie down. After about 20 minutes clean you face.

Papaya Mask

You need one fruit of papaya that isn't completely ripe and one tablespoon of honey. Take few spoons of papaya and mix them with honey. The mask you get is an excellent remedy for preventing wrinkles, due to the digestive enzyme called papain, present in papaya. Note that this mask can cause allergic reaction at individuals who are allergic to latex.
